• Account data: name, email, airline employer, role (crew/host)
• Identity & verification: government ID (processed by third-party verifiers), background check results
• Booking data: dates, listing, payment references (Stripe handles card data — we never store raw card numbers)
• Usage data: pages visited, search queries, device type, IP address
• Communications: messages sent through the Platform's inbox
• Reviews & content: any text, photos, or ratings you submit

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Platform
• Process bookings and payments
• Verify airline employment and host eligibility
• Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders)
• Detect fraud, abuse, and safety issues
• Comply with legal obligations
• With your consent: send marketing communications

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, we process personal data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract (booking processing), (b) legitimate interests (platform safety, fraud prevention), (c) consent (marketing emails, analytics cookies), and (d) legal obligation.

We share personal data only as necessary:

• Hosts: guest name and booking details upon confirmed booking
• Guests: host name, listing address, and check-in instructions after payment
• Stripe: payment processing
• Checkr: background check processing for hosts
• Base44 (infrastructure): cloud hosting and database
• Legal authorities when required by law

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active plus 2 years for legal compliance. Booking records are kept for 7 years for tax and audit purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time (subject to retention obligations).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise your rights, email legal@getcrewzi.com. EU/UK users may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies (necessary for login and security), functional cookies (preferences), and analytics cookies (understanding usage). You can manage cookie preferences via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit. Essential cookies cannot be disabled.

9. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest), role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately of any suspected breach.

10. Children

The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us at legal@getcrewzi.com and we will remove the account.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect.
